Beneath that sits a subtle savoury layer, something like warm hay and almond meal, adding depth without weight.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"mso-fareast-font-family: 'Courier New'; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;\"\u003eOn the palate, Riesling carries the line, its fine acidity giving clarity and persistence. Marsanne builds texture through the mid-palate, bringing a light phenolic grip, while Viognier lifts the blend with soft florals and a rounded edge. Brief skin contact shows as a faint, tactile bitterness, giving shape more than flavour. Barrel-fermented and aged, with a short period of skin contact on the Marsanne to build phenolic structure. Riesling remains the backbone, with Marsanne providing texture and Viognier contributing aromatic lift.
